Commercial HVAC Technician

Vogel Heating & Cooling, a local and growing family-owned HVAC contractor, is seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair and servicing of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning and related systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment across various across various customer properties and provide reliable climate control solutions that keep environment comfortable and safe. Pay Scale: 80K to 100K a year

Job Duties

• Provide all routine inspection and maintenance tasks
• Conduct basic to complex diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair tasks
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and schematics and possess a mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Inspect and install parts and components as per the manufacturer and customers specifications.
• Ability to communicate with manufacturer's representatives to aid in the diagnosis and parts identification, and for warranty services.
• Complete and timely submit, all administrative documents such as work orders, time reporting, receipts, and truck inventory reports.
• Model safe working habits and always abide by all safety policies and procedures.
• Must keep working area and service vehicles clean and organized and present the best impression to the public.
• Availability to work overtime, weekends, or on a rotational shift as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work inside and outside in varying temperatures and weather conditions, at elevated/high locations, and in tight spaces.
• Ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely work with moving mechanical parts, pressurized equipment, open flames, heated or cold surfaces, liquids, and risk of electrical shock in damp, humid, or freezing conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a HVAC service technician in a Commercial setting.
• Successful completion of a HVAC program from an accredited institution.
• Strong field service background with experience in system diagnostics, repairs, replacements, installations, and general maintenance.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is a must.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling Licensing
• St. Louis City/County Journeyman's Mechanical License, or ability to acquire within 1 year of hire.
• Demonstratable customer service skills, and the ability to clearly communicate solutions to address the customers concerns.
